In July, a 6-minute featurette/trailer was released for the forthcoming adaptation of David Mitchell's novel that raised a lot of eyebrows and started a bunch of premature talk about awards season and whether the story being told here was something we've already seen. Now, we have a true, theatrical trailer that doesn't really reveal anything new but highlights why the first featurette was necessary. If the standard 2-minute trailer would've been released first, I think no one would have any idea what's going on.
The film reportedly has a runtime of 2hrs 44 minutes and is set for release on October 26th.
